Ranks etc.

Ok - after the dust settles we have our active membership . . .


The Council - the active leadership of the guild will be Council Members
So far it consists of

Myself - general enabler and master flunky
Angela - War Leader and membership officer
Saci - Diplomat

I've made everyone who was Candidate ranked a Member rank.
New members will be candidate until they achieve either a probationary period or else move up in rank.
I'm planning on having ranks based on fights won and donation levels, although atm donations are not greatly needed and I would sooner see our members grow in strength. Perhaps a title based on forum activety also. . .

Not sure about the Rank titles yet., some ideas in no particular order:

Villians - blackguard, rogue, footpad etc
Undead - Wraith - Ghost - Lich - Deathknight
Demons - Angela had suggested hindu mythology

Further ideas or input for those would be appreciated, I'm looking at maybe 5 or so ranks and maybe 3 or 4 titles.

I quite like this particular list actually: Undead - Wraith - Ghost - Lich - Deathknight although ghost is a bit silly.. Perhaps Demon instead.. I've forgotten where I posted that Hindu mythology biut but I think its in the old forum..

Expanding the idea a bit
Candidate would be replaced by - maybe Wretch or Wight

It's a bit hard for me to come up with ideas since I played too much D&D and so many names are from there which pretty much no-one else has heard of.

In my opinion, while ranks are cool, they don't matter. I could care less what ya call me, but for some strange reason, giving me a rank dependant upon something, would make me do that something... Hmmm...

moorbag has a point. giving ranks could help the guys to motivate into goin in fights and avail to the higher ranks

~ Every demon was created innocent and good by god. But they rebelled against him, and fell from heaven, bringing multitudes of the heavenly host with them.




Demon Vixen: The Demon Vixen's are beautiful female demons that are normally hired as servants or just eye-candy by their masters. They are known by most, as the vixen's tend to stick out of the crowd. Also, Demon Vixens tend to look less like demons and more like angels. Therefore, some are used as spies.

Half-Demon: The half demons are the humans whose gift of magic only went to a small extent, not transforming them fully into demons, and leaving them half of both. Half-demons tend to be excluded from the demon race, as the full demons who had to suffer the full transformation do not approve of meeting some who didn't have to suffer, and yet still had the power.

Demon Assassin: The demon assassin is the demon who is so great at killing that they are actually paid for it. They wander the land in search of those that can afford them.

Zenith Demon: The Zenith demons are the demon warriors working for Ryzon. They live in the kingdom of El Soriya, the kingdom widely known as the kingdom of death. The Zenith demons make up most of the demon population, and are well trained and powerful. You do not want to encounter them in a group, as they are highly likely to bring you down.

Master Demon: The master demons are the boss demons, the ones that manage the armies and towns, and the ones normally responsible for the dirty work. They normally hand it over to others, though, as they have many others under their command. Most master demons have a few servants for their leisure.

Demon Ruler: The demon rulers are a highest rank of demon, as they are rich and even more powerful than any number of demons put together. Most have their own brigade of slaves and servants, and a few even have their own army. They rule the nine regions under Ryzons control.

Well, the idea was to have the rank titles be common enough that folk would recognise them, having ranks that are totally obscure or from some game's mythos makes things a bit blurry. Is a crawling claw more powerful than a shambluing corpse, and what about the mist fiend? If we don't want to go with a certain "historical" theme we can always go with the XX Minion - XX - XX Fiend - xx Lord
Shadow Minion - Shadow - Shadow Fiend - Shadow Lord
Darkminion - Darkknight - Darkfiend - Darklord
Ideas - Mist, Umbral, Penumbral, Demon, Carrion, War - well you should get the idea.

Yeah I agree with that.. All that is fine but we have to implement too.. I still dont have access to change ranks so its up to u *shrugs* Finalize this and the leadership and let me know asap so that I can have it implemented in the new guild page that is currently being done up..!!
