| The lack of activity of some of our guild members has been brought up, along with the motion to begin removing inactive membes from the guild. While this is Fionn's decision I thought that this would be a good time/place to get some feedback from our active forum members on what they feel are reasonable requirements for member commitment to DarkStalkers. I have thought of a few areas where members contribute to the guild -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 - Activity: Log on and play! How often should a DS play? 2 - Donations: It takes coins to build a bigger castle so we can build a bigger guild, how much/often should DS require donations? 3- Forums: This is where ideas are exchanged and DS shaped. Should forum membership be required, what about forum visits, posts? 4 - Time/other contributions: While not everyone is required to contribute time or other resources to DS, those that do should be recognised. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Please respond with your thoughts on these subjects as well as any other membership concerns you might have. | |

| 1. Well this one is quite simple really.. In my openion an active player should try to complete all his/her allocated missions everyday. What the player does after that (ie: attacks, taverns, logging off) doesn't matter.. Sure some of us may find it impossible to do it every single day but still more often than not it should be done 2. Most guilds generally dont ask for huge donations so nor would v. The donations list looks quite good as it is and as long as people keep it up it seems ok.. 3. Everyone must register with the forum. Whether u actually post or not is not important but in case there is a war and it is declared first in our forum everyone should know abt it. Hence check the forum specially the war and enemies threads every now and then. I notice that we can monitor this from the members section (time last visited and stuff). Anyone not doing so may be considered inactive (refer to points below). 4. Time cannot b judged like that lol.. Just update the medals lists and maybe give out different types of medals for gold contributed and other such things.. Couple of other things I guess.. 5. If a member is suspected of being inactive the leader (or someone) will send an ingame message to the particular user. If the user doesn't respond to it within 10 days then he will be deleted from the guild. It is understandable if ur machine suddenly breaks down or something but just find a way to inform the guild and we can hopefully bear it up. 6. I realize that this is a lot of work for 1 or 2 people so maybe break down the tasks.. Have someone specific to update the guild page, someone specific to be in charge of the forum, someone for the wars. The leaders just have overall control and have to check the activity of players. Others do the rest under the supervision of the leaders. Its a lot I guess but its what other guilds do.. More professional and less workload on the leaders (cause u guys have lives too ) | |

| Yes I think it does that.. Thats why a guild with lots of members has a chance to stay up.. The problem with having lots of members is that there is more chance of inactivity and a small active guild can shoot up the list quickly.. As u can see its a win - lose situation.. | |

| In view of Fionn's continued absence, I am moving forward with plans to establish some guild requirements. Currently I am looking at these: 1: Activity - More active is better, but for now I am looking for at LEAST weekly activity. 2: Donations - When a call for donations is made, donate. I am not going to put a required amount, but please make an effort. 3: Forums - Members will be required to register on the forums, and visit them weekly. The forums are how we exchange ideas. Any other ideas/comments? Guild Leadership - many of these positions involve extra work not directly reflected in KF and the rest of us owe a big thanks to these people for making things work. If you see a job that needs done, get in touch with one of these people so we can take care of it (just remember you might end up being asked to do it for us ) Guild Leadership:Guild Leader: Fionn Guild Co-Leader: Nosferatu_S Contest supervisor: Thraven Ferekzy (me) Membership Officer: Angelstorm Website & Forum: Fionn (if we need to change this, I'm afraid we will need to change forums) Comments, questions? Let me hear from you, this is simply a first draft - easy to change and move things around. If you don't want to post publicly, send me a PM from here at the forum or else in game. I will give your ideas just as much consideration and post them here as anonamously given. | |

| I feel the activity standards should increase a bit more.. Daily missions more often than not should b a norm.. Well no point repeating myself cause its going to sound like a broken record so refer to the second post in the topic for my views | |

| I haven't gotten much feedback on this, beyond yours, Angela, I put down weekly for 2 reasons; 1: I don't always get online every day, sometimes RL intrudes or I just am feeling lousy. I'm not going to be setting a standard I can't keep, remember we are talking about REQUIREMENTS, not what we'd like to see, but what the guild DEMANDS folk do in order to keep thier membership. 2: It's easier to check activity weekly rather than daily. | |

| I agree with point 2 lol.. Well I dont mean everyday but at least more often than not.. Um dont make it sound like once a week is enough cause when we're in a war its an attack per hour!! If u log in one week later u will see 24*7 attacks in ur defence reports lol.. | |

| Yes, 1 week is a bit light, but I am talking about a minimum requirement for membership. I don't know how I'd go about trying to enforce a 4-5 days a week requirement | |

| Well I can always do loot tests Not too hard to check activity.. I can do it if u need me to!! *shrugs* All it requires is a bit of dedication.. Saying one week is giving too much leeway.. Even other guilds are very strict on activity.. More than anything else, its activity.. | |

| loot test? If someone isn't active that makes them give more loot? Anywho, I think that activity is Importatnt, and we should just kick out people who dont donate or be active. (for insatnce after that mass in game PM, a few still have donated 0 gold. eithert not active, or not loyal... BAN THEM!!!!!! | |

| The loot test is a check on total loot. Ur total loot and rank will rise only if u do your missions. If it remains stagnant..... Possible inactive.. Combine that with the current test and u know who is active and have a decent idea how often they are active.. There are other tests too but I have no reasons to reveal them at this point in time | |

| Well all I can say is that if you want to make daily activity a guil requirement, I'm gonna have to boot myself it'd be kinda ironic LOL booting yourself for not following a rule you posted and have to enforce, but that's it. | |

| Chatting takes a LOT less thought than playing (like forgetting to go on a tavern mission) as well as a lot less time. If I'm gonna play, I'm gonna play for a while! | |
